I am not sure that my experience was exactly "splendid," but it was very decent. Although, like many others, I am sure, I wish my trade in's were worth more money.
The service is a great idea, and I am very happy to have found it. In addition to the items that can be traded in, I wish Zumu took computer games, as well as VHS tapes. Also, I have many cd's that I purchased through BMG Music Club. They are original cd's, however, for some reason, Zumu will not accept them. I am not sure what to do with these cd's, as I no longer need them either.
One other note, in receiving my payment for my trade in's, getting the actual check took a little over a month.
Oops, I do have one more note to say. I did contact customer service at Zumu, and I have to say that they responded quickly, and thoroughly.

Everything has been great with Zumu, EXCEPT the turnaround time it takes to get your check. I've done it twice now. First time it took a month to get the check, but I thought it would get better the second time, but it took a month and a half. If you can improve on that, I would be happy to try again, but until then I am not interested in that long of wait.

I sent in about 100 DVD's and CD's. They reviewed them immediately and confirmed payment. I received a check in about a 2 month's. I've heard lots of reviews complaining that it takes to long to get a check. My answer is to those complaints is who else is going to pay you for outdated and used music and movies and ship them for free? My experience was great and worth the wait!

The processing of my most current shipment seemed to take much longer then previous shipments. It took slightly over 2 months from the shipment date until I received my check. Also, the check was dated 3/2/13, but I didn't receive it until 3/22/13. I've never had this problem before and I WILL continue to use Zumu, because you absolutely have the best offerings I've been able to find.

Overall satisfied with my experience. Overall Zumu provided me with the most about of cash for my items compared to other similar sites. I also liked knowing that the disks would be recycled into new items! My only complaint was that payment was slow but customer service nicely explained that there was a high demand which is understandable. Would defiantly use Zumu again!

My Zumu experience was great and I have recommended it to two schools for fundraisers. The only thing that would make it better would be if there was a way to find out how long it would take to be processed. I was expecting things to be completed in a few weeks, but it was closer to a few months. That's fine, but it would have been good to know that going into the process.

You should have a rating of like 1 to 10 instead of splendid or not so splendid, or questions concerning the different stages of transaction. It was easy to enter bar code although with the 100 that I had it would have been neat to utilize the bar code reader somehow through an ap to do it quicker. Everything about my experience was good besides the turnaround time, which was about 6 weeks. I called 3 weeks in a row and was told that the dvd's had been processed and the check was to be sent out the next week. On the third call I told the young lady that I had been told the same thing the past two weeks, and she promptly got it taken care of. Besides that my experience was splendid.

well, it was nice that i was able to cash in on some items that were sitting on a a shelf. With that being said, maybe you can add a few cents to items in excellent or new condition. I sent a few brand new movies that were still in shrinkwrapped. A few extra cents would have been a nice surprise. Maybe you can incorporate that into your program.

I feel you need to improve your communications when it comes to informing customers when they would receive payment/donations. Your generic emails need to be more informed, rather than to say "its on it way". Example: You completed my review of products 01/07/2013, if it normally takes 2 weeks to process payments, then you should indicate that to the customer, so they have a better understanding of your process. I have over 3000 DVDs I would like to process with your company, but I again, the payment process needs to be clear and upfront.

I was pleased with the free shipping of items and the overall process. This is not a site to use if you're looking for a quick $ turnaround. Zumu doesn't claim quick turnaround either, as they need to inspect all the items you ship to them to ensure they're ready for resale. It took over two months to close out our trade in. After I sent an email requesting status, they then told me that some items that were listed on the inventory sheet were missing. And that was over a month into this transaction. And we triple checked our sheet before we closed the box, so we KNOW nothing was missing. No communication and extremely slow processing of the trade in. We ended up receiving our check a day before Christmas and it was without the money of the supposed "MISSING" items.
We will NEVER do this type of transaction again.

My experience was a good one with Zumu. I sold them my games and they sent my check. All worked out good. I'll definitely use Zumu again when I wanna sell more of my games.
